One Week Only: July 19 - 25 in Gilsum NH
This summer our camps will be held at the Emerson Brook Outdoor Education Center with the support of the Sustainability Project
Learn clarity and inner strength with mindfulness, meditation and yoga.
Connect with nature, explore ecological issues and organic gardening, all while having fun outdoors:
Adventure, handcrafts, theater, ropes, games, swimming and more!
Explore being the artist of your life and of our world!
In Diamond Sky, we will enjoy the summer, camping out under the stars, hiking the wilderness, cooking over an open fire, learning handcrafts, and challenging ourselves to work together with ropes, games and adventure. We will explore issues of ecological and social sustainablity, working with professional organic gardeners to learn about food cycles and experience planting and harvesting with our own hands.
As Diamond Sky campers, we undertake the ever important task of learning to shape our inner experiences, our relationships with others and our world, building an attitude of optimism and enthusiasm for life. We will learn about and celebrate inspiring people and events throughout history, helping us to discover the possibilities and strengths within each of us.
Throughout each day we learn to release stress with relaxation methods, to center ourselves with mindfulness and reflect through meditation and journaling. This helps us understand and care for our difficult emotions and experiences, and to listen to and understand our friends, families and the Earth.
Activities and group discussions are led in a fun and non-competitive manner.

Let the spirit of summer, fun, friendship and smiles shine!
Outdoor exploration, games, theater, handcrafts, gardening and farm activities are just some of the things that adventuresome Laughing Mountain campers experience with all of their being. Seamlessly woven through our play and exploration are opportunities to calm ourselves, to center and to reflect; we will practice yoga and childrens meditations to help us better understand and care for ourselves; we will learn to work cooperatively with others and handle difficult emotions. Laughing Mountain campers are welcomed to a circle of simplicity and togetherness, where each camper is valued, appreciated and supported. And there is plenty of time to be free and playful. The natural world is the classroom and playground where we deepen our appreciation for life and its wonders.
Campers sleep in dormitories with staff close by. Activities are guided in a non-competitive manner, building friendships, confidence and skills. There will be swimming and an opportunity to go on an overnight camping trip. (Day campers are also invited on this special overnight)
Scroll down to download registration form or contact us to find out more:After a successful season last year, the parent program will be back! Parents can enjoy the farm, nature, and parent program activities.
The parent program will include:
In order to preserve the summer camp experience for children, parents will spend most of their day separate from children, occasionally joining the campers for a shared meal or other activity. Accommodations will be camping or simple housing.
This new component of our summer camps aims to offer support to the families of some of our campers and we are not aiming to gather a large attendance. A proactive, relaxed and flexible attitude will be needed for us to work together and have a wonderful time.
Parents with children under eight years old are also welcome to join us with their little ones. There will be a rotation for childcare with other parents and staff. Some activities will be led especially for parents with young children.
