Stock Donations: If you have invested in stocks, you can gift a portion of your portfolio directly to MorningSun. We will use a 3rd party service to liquidate it at the highest rate possible and make the funds usable right away to help fulfill our mission (Stock Donator). Employer Matched Gift: Many employers have employee gift matching programs. You can contact your employer to see if this is possible. IRA Charitable Distribution: If you are 70½ or older you can make a qualified charitable distribution from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA). These funds are then excluded from your gross income, giving you tax benefits, even if you take the standard deduction.
