BRING YOUR SANGHA, YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR FRIENDS!
We are all invited to MorningSun Community for a weekend dedicated to friendship, to building our regional sangha, and to generating joy and happiness.
Saturday August 4th at Morning Sun ~ An Unscheduled Day of Togetherness and Fun
Please come as a sangha or as individuals, bring your families and friends, and join us Saturday, August 4, at MorningSun for an unscheduled day of fun! Mother Earth and all her gifts are awaiting us on this beautiful land. Please share this announcement to all who might be interested in a day of relaxation and building friendship in nature.
Let us take a day to deeply relax and enjoy each other’s company as friends (and aren’t we all dear friends on the path?) – sit on the beach, enjoy conversation, swim, boat or walk together. We’ll sing, cook around a fire, shoot baskets, play soccer, just have fun!
Sunday August 5th in Rockingham VT ~ A Day of Practice and Togetherness for Old Friends and New
Sunday morning, August 5, meditation teachers Fern and Michael Ciborski will be offering practice opportunities: a brief sitting meditation, a dharma talk, and walking meditation.
We’ll be meeting at Laurie Rabut’s home and Barn in Rockingham, VT where there is a large finished gathering space and a lovely outdoor. Laurie lives about 30 minutes from MS.
This will be a wonderful opportunity for friends from different Sanghas to come together and connect, and also for those unfamiliar with our practice, or Fern and Michael, to get a taste of the teachings.
Sunday afternoon? Celebrating our regional Sangha, a chance for friends from different Sanghas to come together and connect, with an opportunity for deep relaxation, a vegan ice cream social, games, more fun, more friendship.
Directions to Laurie’s Place will be available when you register to attend the event.
Last February, regional Order of Interbeing members, aspirants and pre-aspirants suggested that we get to know one another better and that we have fun together. Fern and Michael have spoken often about Thay’s encouragement to the monastics that they go and “have fun together”, in order to deepen friendships. And so, this weekend has been planned!
Our Regional Sangha Family Weekend:
- Saturday will be at MorningSun; arrive anytime.
- Sunday will be at Laurie Rabut’s property; practice begins at 10 am.
- Please join us for one or both days.
